HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT RED LINGERIE

What about you and Valentine’s Day? Do you celebrate it or are you fed up with the ubiquitous hearts and ads everywhere?

I think that each reason that allows you to forget your everyday worries and duties and just gives you the opportunity to put on sexy lingerie and enjoy intime time is excellent. That’s why I like celebrating Saint Valentine’s Day as well as the 1st of May.

But I must admit that the advertisement for the celebration is too much no matter the celebration. Anyway, I think that red lingerie is MUST HAVE in every woman’s closet so I’d like to share my tips how to choose the best shade in today’s article!

Red lingerie is timeless investment which doesn’t to have anything in common with the 14th od February. Just seize the large variety of choice in shops and you’ll wear it gladly no matter the occasion. So why not getting spoiled with some sexy piece or purchasing one?

If you buy dark red or burgundy lingerie, it looks like you are confident, wild, and passionate according to numerous lifestyle magazines. I don’t think that these two things go hand in hand and that applies that every woman who likes to wear red lingerie is a nympho. But it’s true that men adore lingerie in all the shades of this colour. But it’s really important to choose the right shade of red which compliments your skin tone, and which doesn’t look cheap. It’s the same with lingerie as It´s with red lipsticks. Everyone looks better with different shade, and you need to find the one which suits you the best.

If you don’t feel confident in red lingerie, try to pick the shade according to your skin type:

• Very pale and pale skin needs red with a tint of coral or pink colour. For cold undertones  raspberry shade works better and for warm undertones coral is the better option.
• Olive or medium skin goes great with bright red, cherry red or primary red (this one work great if you have no undertones).
  • Warm undertones: red with a bit of tangerine tint
  • Cold undertones: shades with burgundy tint

The undertone of your skin can help you but it’s definitely not a rule that has to be followed. It’s also important to try different cuts, shades and pick the one you feel the most comfortable in.

I personally preferer bright red or rouge but if I like lingerie in different shade I just adjust my makeup to make it match.
