HOW TO PACK

I told myself that it’d be nice to share with you few tips that I collected during travelling that made the packing easier every time no matter the destination since the summer is coming. When I was thinking about all the tips that I want to share in today’s article with a glass of wine a question if you even want to pack – because let’s be honest, it= s not that bad if a luggage doesn’t arrive or gets lost for the young ladies that read my blog and want to enjoy non-bonding time because it’s an excuse to shop. And I don’t want to propose anything to anyone but if you want to expand your wardrobe and you want to have a reason to go shopping, pack less things than more.

Anyway, I was going to write about tips what to pack so let’s get into it.

I think that I’m not the only woman that has the tendency to not only pack the whole closet but the whole house. Which was in the end unnecessary because every time I got to the destination, I felt like I don’t have everything I need. So, what works for me to be effectively and quicky packed?

STEAM IRON

Except from lingerie and other sexy kinks I need to have everything ironed. I don’t know that this is due to the way I was raised by my mum or my grandmother who ironed towels and socks, I just can’t stand wrinkled things that weren’t ironed. So, the first thing I always pack is a mini steam iron that keeps your clothes fresh.

MATCHING

Another point that I never miss out is putting everything on my bed and after I select and match the things, I want to pack I put them in the luggage. It really worked for me to put everything I want to take to the destination or just to try on bed. Sometimes you realize that you have a huge pile of pieces that doesn’t match, and you need x pair of shoes, purses, belts and jewellery that doesn’t match.

According to the length of the stay, I create sets. I like when the colour on jewellery matches the colour on purse belts and shoes. I know that it’s something old for a fashion guru, but I like when it matches. So that’s a reason to create sets with a comfortable and pretty shoes (because let’s be real it’s not always two in once), purses, belts and jewellery. I create a set from this that I match with dresses, blouses and trousers… And if it’s a long-term stay, I just create another combination that I pick my clothes to. I select out many great pieces that I’d like to pack but I wouldn’t find any usage for so I wouldn’t even wear.

COSMETIC

As many ladies, I always dreamed of all the pretty makeup bags, luggage and cases in which I’d like to pack all the cosmetics in. And I have to say that even though I purchased some these pieces, I tend to pack everything in the see-through bags during the past years. And I’m not even talking about the on-board cosmetics. But after something leaked in my monogrammed bag and I had to have it cleaned so I decided to keep it as a decoration only in the bathroom and I choose a practical plastic bag. It’s not cool but practical.

I’m trying to pack all the cosmetics in the smallest packaging. Who reads my beauty rubrics knows that I love Estee Lauder and Clinique. I mainly prefer them because of the gifts (you get the small miniatures to try to your purchase), so you can use them for travelling. Not everything that I use can be found in small packaging and because I never had the patience to pour something in a smaller packaging, every time I have less than a half of a product, I automatically take a new package out and I put it in the drawer for a travelling. I save a weight of the luggage and I can always throw it away once I use it all on the vacation.

And when I have everything prepared, I start to pack it in the luggage.

ROLL AND STRAIGHTEN CORRECTLY

The key to a success is to pack everything properly to the luggage. I never put things randomly because then it would be disorganised wrinkled chaos. Firstly, I put in the shoes, books, curling iron and hair dryer cosmetics bags… The second layer that softens and prepares the luggage for the clothes are pieces to the gym/run, lingerie and underwear and swimsuit that I put in a bags and sport things.

There are also all the sexual devices at the bottom of the luggage. If you are wondering how to avoid issues at the airport, I’d recommend having a look at this article. Anyway, all the larger supplies such as whips, handcuffs, massaging candles etc are put at the bottom of the luggage as well as hangers.

I have never been in a hotel where would be enough of hangers because I prefer to have things hanged at home (I have 90% of my closet hanged at home), so that’s why I pack my own hangers as well.

As I mentioned, I hate wrinkled clothes and even though I try to pack as carefully as possible, you can’t avoid folds. So, the best way how to avoid them is to roll them. And you can also save some space. So, all the things in the second layer of the luggage are being rolled.

CHECK LIST

Due to the fact how much I’ve travelled in the past and how much we travel now I don’t use any check lists because I have my own check list in my head. If you go for a vacation few times a year, I’d recommend writing down everything necessary, so you don’t end up missing anything. And if you plan the vacation as a shopping spree during which you expand your closet or you know that a lost of your luggage would be a problem due to the program or because you like your things, I’d recommend packing at least a one set of clothes to the on-board luggage. In case of the luggage loss or other complications won’t please you anything more than a lingerie and the rest of your outfit.

Personally, I never forget to pack all the toys, chargers, protein bar, fully charged power bank and ear plugs in the on-board luggage. If you are planning on going to a road trip or to travel for more days or change hotels, I’d recommend packing in more luggage so you can unpack them one by one during the journey. If you know that you’ll need some of the things during the journey, pack them on top of the luggage.
