HUNKEMÖLLER

Today's article will again focus on seductive lingerie, because there is never enough beautiful lingerie. In the beginning, I have to admit to you one thing that I once mentioned on the blog. In a way, I'm very conservative, although it may not look like it, and especially when choosing hotels or buying lingerie and clothes, I prefer to reach for the tried-and-tested classics. This feature of mine, in other words the reluctance to leave my comfort zone, annoys me a lot, I try to work on it intentionally. Which means looking for new places, restaurants, shops and opportunities.

I´ve heard of the Hunkemöller brand a lot. I knew it was lingerie. But that was about all I knew. I didn't know their style, collection nor what price range they are in (of course I suspected that they are not among the top brands :). During a weekend trip in Amsterdam, I had the opportunity to visit their store, which we came across by accident while walking through the center. And since I am not able to pass any lace lingerie store unnoticed, of course I looked and it might not surprise you that I did not leave empty-handed :-)

Hunkemöller is a Dutch brand with a long tradition, it was founded in 1886 in Amsterdam, at that time specializing mainly in corsets. Today, their offer is much wider, including in addition to lingerie, sleepwear, swimwear and sportswear. Of course, I was fascinated by the lingerie. As with every brand, you will find common pieces in their assortment, which, as they say, will neither amaze nor surprise you. What fascinated me a lot is their body. I don't mean those for casual wear, thanks to which it makes us at least a little warmer in the winter months. But the seductive lace teddies with a lot of cuts and strings are completely perfect for me. I must say that not only was I excited, but my partner as well. I think he will happily initiate another purchase with this brand.

In addition to an alluring body, they also have pretty bras with various interesting details and especially lovely kimonos, which you could see on my Instagram. I first bought a red lace night robe,  then I couldn't resist a black bathrobe and finally also a light pink one lacy housecoat, which I also ordered with lingerie from the same collection, so everything matched beautifully. I have had these masterpieces at home for less than a year, due to the size of my lace wardrobe, I enjoyed only a few minutes of fame in bed, so I can't objectively evaluate how the material will behave after several washes. But I will definitely let you know in time.

In terms of price, Hunkemöller is comparable to Etam, which is very pleasant. Unfortunately, they do not have stores in the Czech Republic, so if you are not going to Germany, the Netherlands or other countries where they sell these beautiful pieces, I recommend going to the e-shop, which offers delivery to the Czech Republic. It's clear to me that a lot of you are already sick and tired of all About You hauls, which Instagram is full of, but getting 25% or 20% down on beautiful lace lingerie is not bad, usually it works out better than the official website of the brand. Right there or in Zalando, you can get some collections of this brand.

I confess to you, as part of writing today's article, I turned to my faithful friend Google, because I didn't really know so much about the Hunkemöller brand, I liked to learn on Wikipedia. There, among other things, I discover that Hunkemöller has won various awards over the years in the category of the best seller of lingerie in Germany. Did you know that? Do you know this brand?
