I don't want to touch anyone's feelings, but I feel that some people have discovered washing their hands, the existence of all antibacterial gel and disposable rubber gloves due to the COVID -19. Of course, it is understandable that the massive media pressure we have faced in recent weeks must have manifested itself. I'm not entirely sure how much those antibacterial gels or soaps work on viruses, the composition of the product is important, which a lot of people don't look at. But it's great that so many people have discovered these products, bought them, maybe put them into daily use (when they already have them at home :). Today's article will not be so sexy or very exciting, but rather practical. By following these practical rules, we can enjoy pleasure time and all the erotic games all the more. I feel that disinfection of erotic toys is a neglected topic, so I will focus on it in today's article.

Whenever I was in a sex shop abroad and we were buying an erotic toy, they always offered me some desinfection spray for cleaning at the cash desk. A small bag with disinfectant is sometimes part of the box wih a toy, for example the Lelo brand. It´s perfect, you can use it, before you buy a cleaner according to your requirements in full size. That's why I was very surprised when I was shopping with a friend in a Prague sex shop and no one offered us disinfection during shopping. So it's true that I would rate the whole purchase very badly, the sales service was zero and the price of the product was significantly exorbitant compared to the one on the Internet, but this happen - when you're looking for the gift you need that day. I will not go to the brick-and-mortar sex shop for a long time for sure. I will be happy to order everything online. The sales asistant seemed to be very bored with her job, she didn't tell us anything about the maintenance and care for the product. Why am I writing about it? I think that buying erotic toys to improve your sexual life, getting new experience and climaxes is quite common nowadays. The fact that we should take care of them for ourselves and our health is not much talked about. I was very pleased that in the Advent calendar, which I ordered from Germany (and I also wrote about it on the blog here), it was one of the gifts of disinfection for erotic toys, of which there were several in the calendar, which I found really great. In addition, it was such a small package, making it ideal for travel.

I consider washing all sexy toys with ordinary soap to be insufficient. If you do not have a disinfectant spray on hand, it is definitely important to wash the erotic toys at least with some antibacterial soap. I am quite focused on hygiene, cleanliness and body cleansing. I wash towels at the highest temperature after almost every use. I change also beddings very often, because sometimes I fall asleep naked and various body fluids (sperm, vaginal secretions, saliva, sweat) often end up in bed at least once a week. I try to eliminate all possible problems. When any of the already mentioned dries on the toys, various microorganisms will start to multiply on them. I am convinced that thanks to this approach, even though I have lived a very open, unrestrained and wild sex life, I have never had any major, but not even minor, gynecological problems. I have all the toys unpacked in my wardrobe. I find it practical. There is nothing worse than when you feel like it, and you need to start reaching intricately, unpacking, etc. Washed and charged toys, let's say ready for action, stay in the drawer. If I pull out a device that I have not used for a long time - I spray it before using it. When the taste is stronger and we don't want to wait, I wipe it with a damp desinfection napkin (be careful, it can't be used on all toys, it depends on the material). This eliminates the appearance of germs of bacteria or fungi, just all these things you don't want, and you don't want to have them inside your body at all.

It is a question of personal preferences and experienc as well, which brand or type of sex toy cleaner you prefer. One of my favorites is this one. Most toy cleaner sprays work similarly, the only difference being that some need to be rinsed after application, others just need to be wiped. It is important to always look in the description from the producer, for which type of  sex toys, meaning the material, the spray is suitable. Glass dildos require different care - you can for example easily boil, you will approach the plastic or silicone vibrator differently. Some brands, such as Fun Factory, We-Vibe or Lelo, produce cleaners specifically for their stuff. If the We-Vibe couples vibrator is one of the favorites in your bedroom, I definitely recommend buying this spray to clean it. With proper maintenance, you not only think about your health in your intimate parts, but you will also achieve a longer life for your favorite toy. If you are one of the fans of the Swedish brand Lelo, then their cleaner should not be missing in your home either.

Is important not only to clean all toys that you have exciting moments with, but I also consider it important to use antibacterial and intimate soaps. Especially if you like fingering or fisting, antibacterial soap and disposable gloves should be an essential part of your equipment. If you are fond of swingers parties, it is great to buy, for example, a 2in1 product that you can use for both toys and skin. If you know that you will be in a place - where towels will not be available, or you are not 100% sure of their cleanliness, then mini travel towels will be a great choice for you. In the days when I traveled often, it was a necessary part of my bag on board. All you have to do, is wet them with water or spray them with disinfection, and it grows into a perfect mini-towel.

Another great tip that will help you minimize soiling or destruction of the interior, not only the bed is a latex sheet. Sometimes it is part of the nuru sets, but in my opinion it has a much wider use than just for these originally Japanese kind of massages. For sure, given all my experiences, I place much more emphasis on hygiene than normal people do.
